Lettuce: Red Leaf

Weekly, throughout our growing season, we try to have two varieties that we are harvesting weekly. These are BEAUTIFUL for adding color to salads, sandwiches and burgers. This lettuce grows great in the spring and fall; however, summer heads may be smaller.  This lettuce holds it’s flavor in our hot summer weather, without becoming bitter. This balsamic vinaigrette, or if you are like us this buttermilk salad dressing or perhaps this lemon ginger tahini dressing is all the lettuce needs and it becomes a salad that satisfies our craving.

Sold each weighing approximately 3/4 pound. Occasionally, when heads are small, multiple heads are bunched together.
