Chives: Onion Plant

The leaves of this herb may be used in almost any dish for the mild onion flavor. This cultivar is tall with beautiful wide leaves. Edible pink flowers will appear the second year!  We find them especially great in salad dressings, a topping for potatoes, and fabulous for flavoring crepe batter. These chives can be chopped and used as a pizza topping, in stuffings, for dumplings, eggs, spring rolls, crepes, stir-fries, etc. The possibilities are endless.
