The variety is Peppermint. We think this veggie has a flavor much like beets and spinach. We use the stalks like celery and saute the stalks with onions, garlic and ginger, adding the leaves in at the last minute to preserve the flavor! Chard also works well in quiches and quesadillas! High in vitamins A, C, loaded with calcium, magnesium, iron and fiber. This green is heat tolerant and should produce for you all summer long!
